We measure the pocket depth around every tooth, record bleeding points and recession, and take X-rays to map bone levels. That gives us a baseline chart so we can prove — with numbers, not guesswork — whether treatment is working at your review.
Under local anaesthetic we clean the root surfaces inside each pocket with ultrasonic and hand instruments, removing hardened deposits and bacterial biofilm. This is usually done over two longer visits, quadrant by quadrant, so you stay comfortable throughout.
