Clear braces are fixed brackets and wires — much like traditional braces, but using clear ceramic brackets instead of metal. Invisible aligners (such as Invisalign) are removable plastic trays. Both straighten teeth discreetly, but clear braces stay in place 24/7 and can move teeth in ways aligners can't, while aligners offer the advantage of being removable. Clear ceramic brackets are bonded to each tooth and connected with a wire. As the wire is gradually adjusted, your teeth shift into their new positions. Treatment typically takes 18–24 months.
